Kangaroo volumes on the rise

A quartet of SSAs borrowed a combined A$940m ($613.4m) into the Kangaroo market this week, spurring the SSA Aussie dollar market on to its best monthly volume in over nine months.

SSAs have sold A$2.3bn worth of Kangaroo trades this month, making this May the Kangaroo’s strongest month since A$3.5bn made its way through the market in August 2019. Volumes are up from A$1.1bn in April, A$1.0bn in March and from a 13 month low of A$145m in February, ...
