European banks puts focus on dollars as currency shows value

European banks jumped into the US dollar market this week, with some issuers clocking up huge savings in the currency versus what their home markets could offer.
There has been little in the way of European FIG issuance in dollars so far in 2020.
New sales are hovering about 10% below their average volumes over the last five years, according to Dealogic.
