Bond bonanza in Asia as corporates go for dollars

Asia’s dollar bond market has been swamped with new deals this week. Thursday was no different, with corporate borrowers from Greater China alone raising just over $3bn between them.

Among the issuers was property developer Country Garden Holdings Co, which took $1bn from a dual-tranche transaction — its first since it was upgraded to investment grade by Moody’s at the end of September.
