Danish investors get green fingers

A pair of supranationals have reopened Danish krone green bonds. Domestic interest in SSA paper has grown over the last year, with green issuance a primary driver.

“Over the past year, we have seen an increasing demand for SSA issuers in Danish kroner,” said Gustav Landström, global head of SSA origination at Danske Bank. “Covered bonds dominate the Danish krone market, and apart from KommuneKredit, SSAs have never really been a sizeable part.”
