Yankee bank supply booms as dollars show their value

Royal Bank of Scotland and ING were set on Wednesday to add to a recent run of dollar bond issuance from European banks, with some issuers having clocked up huge savings in the currency versus what their home markets can offer.

There has been little in the way of Yankee bank issuance in the dollar market so far in 2020.

But pricing has recently swung back in favour of European lenders, encouraging more financial institutions to venture outside their home markets.
