Ireland takes centre stage with €6bn syndication

It was all eyes on Ireland in the eurozone government bond market this week, as the sovereign printed one of its biggest deals with a record-breaking order book.

On Tuesday, leads Bank of AmericaBarclays, Cantor Fitzgerald, Danske BankGoldman Sachs and JP Morgan priced a €6bn May 2027 bond for Ireland at a spread of mid-swaps plus 32bp, 3bp inside of guidance, with a yield of 0.242%.
