The new chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Christopher Giancarlo, chose Bruce Tuckman to succeed Sayee Srinivasan as the regulatory body’s chief economist on Monday.

Tuckman starts on September 5, and will provide the Commission with economic advice on the “cost-benefit consideration” of new regulations that fall under the CFTC’s remit, while also researching other issues deemed important by the American regulator.
