Romania returns after strong year of issuance

Romania this week returned to the international debt markets to issue euro-denominated bonds.

Romania, rated Baa3/BBB-/BBB-, sold a Reg S/144A dual tranche €3.5bn bond on Wednesday.

It set initial price thoughts of 225bp over mid-swaps on an April 2033 tranche and 265bp over mid-swaps on an April 2041. 

That was tightened to final reoffer spreads of 195bp over and 235bp over. Coupons ...
