Eric Pan leaves CFTC for academia

Eric Pan, director of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Office of International Affairs (OIA), is to stand down after nearly four years.

Pan will leave the CFTC in August, after which he will spend a semester as a senior research fellow at the Center for Law and Economic Studies at Columbia Law School, New York. He will write about financial markets and regulation.
