ICE wins recognition as benchmark admin well ahead of deadline

The UK financial regulator has recognised Intercontinental Exchange’s data and analytics unit as a third-country benchmark administrator, more than two years ahead of schedule.

Exchange operator ICE said its ICE Data Indices subsidiary had now been recognised by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority as a third-country benchmark administrator under Article 32 of the new European Union Benchmark Regulation (BMR) rules.
