Tata Power connects for $245m refinancing

Indian electricity utility firm Tata Power has launched a $245m refinancing loan into general syndication after mandating five banks last month.

The leads, namely ANZ, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, DBS, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, started taking commitments for the deal last week, according to a banker close to the situation.
