Malaysia readies sustainable sukuk

The government of Malaysia is preparing to return to the dollar market for the first time in five years. It is marketing what will be the world's first sustainability sukuk from a sovereign borrower.

The A3/A-/BBB+ rated country has hired CIMB, HSBC and JP Morgan to lead the proposed trade as the bookrunners and lead managers. Global investor calls began on Monday, April 19.
