Italy goes back to the Futura with less demand than debut

Italy received less interest for its second BTP Futura bond last week than its inaugural deal in the format earlier in the year.

Following a week-long placement period, begun on November 9 and concluded on November 13, Italy received €5.711bn of interest from 123,717 retail accounts on the MOT platform via Intesa Sanpaolo and UniCredit. The deal was also supported by two co-dealers, Banca Akros and Banca Sella Holding.
