Kookmin takes Covid label to bank capital

South Korea’s Kookmin Bank used a Covid-19 sustainability bond label for its $500m bank capital deal on Wednesday.

The Covid label was not new for the Aa3/A+ rated borrower, but it was for the bank capital market. A banker on the trade said the deal is the first Covid-linked bank capital bond in Asia.
