Citic Capital blank cheque firm plans US IPO

Citic Capital Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (Spac), has filed for a $200m IPO. It is targeting companies in the energy efficiency, clean technology and sustainability sectors.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission filing shows the Spac, also known as a blank cheque company, is aiming to sell 20m new units at $10m each to raise $200m. A 3m unit greenshoe could boost proceed by $30m.
