HSBC has named two bankers as global co-heads of its debt capital markets team, replacing Jean-Marc Mercier. It is also planning to open two new desks.

Adam Bothamley and Sean McNelis become the new heads, effective immediately.

Bothamley is currently global head of debt syndicate, based in London. He will keep that role as well as the new one. He joined HSBC in 2000 in equity research before moving to DCM in 2003.
