ESMA calls for evidence on CFD and binary option restrictions

The European Securities and Markets Authority has issued a call for evidence on the effects of product intervention measures regarding CFDs and binary options on market participants and clients.

On Monday, ESMA also said it had concluded that EU national competent authorities and the Central Bank of Cyprus should take product intervention measures that are “at least as stringent as ESMA’s measures on CFDs”.
