GEMS to raise $1.85bn package, preps for CVC acquisition

Dubai-headquartered international education provider GEMS Education is seeking a $1.85bn debt package to support CVC Capital Partners taking a minority stake in the company.

GEMS is seeking a seven year $850m term loan, as well as two seven year senior secured bonds of $500m and $300m-equivalent in euros, both with Reg S and 144A documentation. GEMS will also raise a six year $200m revolving credit facility.
