Romania sells longest, largest ever euro bond

Romania printed a €3bn triple trancher this week, the country’s largest ever euro deal, with one of the three tranches also being the longest ever euro bond from the country.
“It was an amazingly successful transaction,” said a DCM banker on the deal. “The market has been patchy this week. The concerns around growth in Europe and the economic slowdown there have contributed to a rally in rates.
