Brian Edmonds, head of Treasury and agency trading at Banc of America Securities, has been bumped from his role by the recent hire of Lehman Brothers veteran J.P. Marra, who is taking over the top spot at BofA. Edmonds remains at the firm, as a senior trader, and reports to Marra.
"Brian's a tremendous fixture in the market but we haven't figured out how to put the pieces together," Marra said. Edmonds referred calls to Gerhard Seebacher, head of global rates sales and trading. He referred calls to Louise Hennessy, spokeswoman, who was unable to explain why BofA made the change.
At Lehman, Marra was head of Treasury and mortgage-backed security pass-through trading. He reported to Kaushik Amin, head of global rates trading. Marra's duties have been taken over by Jerry Rizzieri, head of agency trading, and David Lohuis, head of liquid rates financing. Rizzieri will cover management of the Treasury coupon and mortgage pass-through business while Lohuis will assume responsibility for short-maturity Treasuries and discount agency notes, Amin said. Rizzieri confirmed his new role but declined further comment. Lohuis also confirmed the changes.
