Paul Levy, co-head of credit structuring at Deutsche Bank in London, is set to join Merrill Lynch. Levy is tipped to take the role of Malik Chaabouni, who resigned from Merrill just two weeks ago to join Deutsche Bank (DW, 2/8). It is not clear who he will report to. Paul Horvath, head of structured credit product management at Merrill, did not return a message.
At Deutsche Bank, Levy reported to Richard Herman, European head of rates and structuring. Jo Pope, spokeswoman for the German shop, said it was too early to comment on whether Chaabouni will directly replace Levy.
