UBS has hired Barry Finkelstein, head of repackaging in the credit derivatives group at Merrill Lynch in New York, in a similar role. Kris Kagel, spokesman, confirmed the hire, but declined further comment. Finkelstein did not return calls and Michael DuVally, spokesman at Merrill in New York, declined comment.
