Telenor gets $1.2bn loan for Indian venture, avoids rights issue
Telenor, the Norwegian telecoms group, has secured a Nkr8bn ($1.16bn) three year term loan to support its acquisition of a 60% stake in India’s Unitech Wireless. The announcement today (Tuesday) follows months of deliberating by the borrower over how to fund its $1.07bn purchase.
