ECM powers US bank gains

The leading US investment banks raked in fees from equity origination in the third quarter, with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America all doubling their ECM revenues year-on-year.

Morgan Stanley came out on top in terms of which bank made the most in equity origination, although Goldman said it was first in worldwide equity and equity-related offerings, common stock offerings and IPOs for the year to date.
