Takeda gets large dose in holidaying US mart

Takeda Pharmaceutical was the standout issuer as US high grade corporate bond issuance ground to a halt this week, ahead of the July 4 holiday.

The Japanese drug company produced the lion’s share of the $8.9bn of bonds issued. Just three other companies issued, in a shortened week. The US bond market closed early on Thursday ahead of the celebrations.
