Kommuninvest cuts 2020 funding programme

Kommuninvest has lowered its funding target for 2020 because of a smaller than expected need for lending after the initial shock of the Covid-19 crisis.

The Swedish agency will now aim for between Skr150bn and Skr160bn ($16.1bn-$17.2bn) for 2020, down from its previous target of Skr150bn-Sk170bn. The funding forecast was originally raised in April from Skr140bn-Skr160bn to Skr150bn-Skr170bn to meet the increased demand from municipalities because of the coronavirus pandemic.
