IADB bumps up 2020 funding need

The Inter-American Development Bank has bumped up its 2020 funding programme by almost a quarter to fund its response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2020 funding programme has risen to $25.6bn, up from a previously announced $20.5bn, Laura Fan, IADB’s head of funding, told GlobalCapital.

This is the second time the supranational has increased its programme this year. The IADB announced a marginal $500m increase at the end of March.
