Technicals shunt IG corporates into narrow maturity range

The power of central bank buying and fund redemptions are evident this week in the European investment grade corporate bond market, where issuers have been squeezed into a narrow range of maturities as they search for cash.

Issuers piled into the market again on Wednesday, continuing a frantic week that has seen successful trades across the investment grade rating spectrum and sectors.

Regardless of the issuer, almost all of the deals this week bear striking similarities, particularly when it comes to maturity.
