CME breaks volume record

CME has declared record international average daily contract volumes, driven by growth in equity and interest rate products.

The derivatives exchange operator claimed it had achieved record international average daily volume (ADV) of 4.8m contracts in 2019, a 10% increase on 2018.

CME pointed to increased volatility owing to geopolitical events and economic uncertainty.
