JPM and LBBW execute first electronic €STR swap

LBBW and JP Morgan have claimed first execution of an electronically negotiated euro short-term rate (€STR) swap transaction, on Bloomberg’s UK multilateral trading facility (BMTF).

On Monday morning the banks executed a five year swap trade using the request-for-quote protocol on BMTF.

Bloomberg also revealed that beginning this week, BMTF and its Netherlands MTF (BTFE) would each support trading in outright fixed versus €STR overnight index swaps in all tenors out to 70 ...
