ECM bullish on Iberia as issuers prep market return

Sell-side sources are hoping that Iberian ECM can return to its golden age with sellers prepping more issuance after two deals hit screens in the last week.

Last year was hugely disappointing for Iberian equity capital markets.

According to figures from Dealogic, issuance volumes in 2018 were down 70.75% in 2018 when compared with the year prior. The total €5.1bn issued in Iberia was the worst year for ECM volumes since the crisis.
