San Fran looks overseas for green investors

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is looking for international buyers of its green bonds for the first time as it prepares a roughly $402m new issue.

The preliminary official statement for the bonds includes notices to investors in the European Economic Area, the UK, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and Japan. It is the first time the docs for an SFPUC green bond have included language directed at investors outside the US.
