Lehman Brothers has added Mark Versey, U.K. equity derivatives salesman at Deutsche Bank in London, as a salesman in Lehman's fixed-income derivatives solutions team, reporting to Philippe Dufournier, head of the fixed-income derivatives solutions team. Jessica Shepherd-Smith, spokeswoman in London, confirmed the move. Dufournier did not return calls.
The role is a new addition and part of the firm's increasing focus on marketing derivatives solutions to insurance companies. Versey explained that he has an actuarial background and wanted to focus on marketing products to insurance companies to aid them in their asset-liability management. He started at the firm last Monday.
At Deutsche Bank, Versey reported to Kim Gayer, head of northern European institutional sales. Gayer said he was in the process of replacing Versey.
