Barclays Capital has expanded its structured products team, hiring as an associate Romain Le Bon, previously with Commerzbank in New York. Le Bon, who did not return calls, is responsible for selling structured products to private banks in the Americas. He reports to Philippe El-Asmar, head of investor solutions for the Americas, who oversees both the structuring and sale of products across asset classes. El-Asmar confirmed the hire.
Le Bon held a similar position at Commerzbank, where he reported to Guillaume Hellier du Verneuil in London, who heads private bank sales. Hellier du Verneuil confirmed Le Bon's departure and said his position has been filled, but declined further comment.
