Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has hired Mark Wells, head of advanced equity product at TD Securities in London. He is set to join Dresdner's alternative investments group, as a managing director reporting to Andrew MacCormack, global head of alternative investments. Louise Beeson, spokeswoman for Dresdner, confirmed the hire, noting Wells will come on board Jan. 23.
Wells, who declined comment when reached on his cell phone, was responsible for TD's exotic equity business in London. He left after the firm closed down its exotic credit and equity books outside of Canada (DW, 4/29).
Separately, Dresdner has also hired Anton Hong, previously at JPMorgan in London, as a v.p. in derivatives structuring. Hong, reached at DrKW, referred calls to the press office. Beeson confirmed Hong reports to Roberto Silvotti, head of derivatives structuring and new products. Silvotti said Hong is an addition to the structuring team and the group will add further staffers this year, declining to say how many.
Sarah Oppler, spokeswoman for JPMorgan, did not confirm Hong's previous role or comment on any replacement by press time.
