Morgan Stanley has recently recruited Julien Bahurel, director in equity derivative sales at Calyon in Hong Kong, as an executive director in the structured product group within the equity division. In this newly-created role Bahurel covers institutional clients throughout the region, and reports to Craig Verdon, managing director and head of the structured product group in Hong Kong. Bahurel, who confirmed the move, left the French house last month (DW, 5/26).
The firm has also hired Bahurel's former colleague Arnaud Droitcourt, now head of exotic trading in Hong Kong, as part of its push to tap the growing structured products market in the region (DW, 5/19).
