ABN AMRO has hired Michael Chae, fixed income derivatives marketer at Crédit Agricole Indosuez in Seoul, as head of financial institution sales for Korea. "We look to Michael to further develop our downstream financial institution relationships while taking our existing relationships to a new level," said Andre LaJeunesse, regional head of financial institutions sales in Singapore.
Chae reports to both LaJeunesse and Edward Wassink, global head of financial institutions and public sector sales in Amsterdam. LaJeunesse noted that Chae's position is a newly created role set up to tap the bank's growing focus in the Korean market.
At Indosuez, he reported to Gin Lee, head of capital markets in Seoul. Lee said that it has not been decided if Chae will be replaced, given that CAI is in the midst of its integration with Crédit Lyonnais.
