CIBC World Markets has hiredAchim Beck as head of marketing for European debt capital markets in London. He joined from TD Securities, where he was head of credit derivatives marketing for Germany. Prior to TD, Beck was head of structured credit sales at Dresdner Kleinwort.
TD closed its structured credit business over a year ago (DW, 4/26/05). It could not be determined what Beck has been doing in the meantime. It could also not be determined whether he is a replacement or an addition at CIBC. Beck was traveling and did not return calls. Jessica Botelho, CIBC spokeswoman in Toronto, and Genevieve Rooney, TD spokeswoman in London, did not return calls.
