The National Bank of Abu Dhabi has released price guidance on a new five year dollar RegS bond at 200bp area over mid-swaps, which two syndicate officials away from the note said was a tight level for a new deal. Barclays Capital, HSBC, NBAD and UBS are arranging the note.

Personal credit provider Provident Financial has launched a senior unsecured retail bond, offering 5.5 year paper at 7%. Books opened opn Monday morning and will close on or before March 30, giving investors a maximum of two weeks to place orders.

Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) wants to become the first bank from the country to tap the international bond market. It has lined up a long roadshow to pitch the $500m deal to investors.

FIG investors shrugged off concerns about Spain’s fiscal stability this week, picking up five year paper from Santander in what was the first senior deal from a Spanish bank with a tenor outside the three year term of the ECB’s long term refinancing operation (LTRO) since the measure was introduced last December.

Finland’s Pohjola Bank capitalised on recent investor work this week, printing a tight €750m five year bond which was well received by a market hungry for primary supply and ready to invest with the threat of a disorderly Greek default having receded. Meanwhile, Rabobank diversified into sterling, printing the largest senior FIG deal in that currency since November 2010.

Norwegian savings bank Sparebank 1 SR-Bank ASA on Friday became the latest bank to hit the five year curve in senior unsecured, printing €500m. The deal was priced against a strong market backdrop, with CDS and secondary spreads continuing to tighten.
