BNP Paribas has recently made two new hires for fixed income and credit derivatives in Asia and is looking to hire a synthetic securitization structurer. Emmanuel Dianflon, head of credit derivatives Asia, based in Hong Kong, says the French bank is seeing growing demand for derivatives products.
Beatrice Yu, a recent MBA graduate with prior experience at BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank in New York, has joined as a credit derivatives structurer in the Hong Kong office. Yu could not be reached.
For the Korean market BNP Paribas has also hired Jae Il Lee, a derivatives marketer at J.P. Morgan Chase in Seoul, to market fixed income derivatives and bonds. Lee said his move was partly due to what he termed "uncertainty" in the working environment at the merged J.P. Morgan Chase. He declined further comment. He reported to Louise Piper, managing director, credit and interest rate markets ex-Japan, at J.P. Morgan Chase in Singapore. Piper did not return calls.
