India’s ReNew to list on Nasdaq via $8bn Spac deal

Indian renewable energy company ReNew Power is planning to list on the Nasdaq in the US through an $8bn merger with a special purpose acquisition company (Spac).

The Spac, called RMG Acquisition Corporation II, did its IPO in December 2020, when it raised $345m. The blank-cheque company is sponsored and led by businessmen and investors Jim Carpenter, Bob Mancini and Phil Kassin. Spacs usually raise money through an IPO, with the aim to find a ...
