Austria takes big book for 20 year

Austria built a large order book as it came to the market for its final syndication of the year on Thursday, ahead of the expected arrival of the European Union as a mega borrower next week.

JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and UniCredit priced a €2.5bn October 2040 bond for Austria at mid-swaps minus 4bp, 1bp inside of guidance, with a final book of over €18.4bn.

Austria retained part of the deal (€500m), a standard procedure on its syndications.
