Deutsche sees investors’ interest in ESG fading

A survey by Deutsche Bank this week challenged the consensus that investors' interest in environmental, social and governance funds has been intensified by the coronavirus crisis. On the contrary, it argues: appetite has weakened.

The survey found 15% of investors planned to increase their allocations to ESG funds his year, but 20% said they would reduce them. 

Overall, they planned to increase the volume of investment by just 2% in 2020, compared with an expectation of 13% a year ago.
