Prosus brings in six lenders for £5.1bn Just Eat bid phone 230x150

The Netherlands’ Prosus has raised its takeover offer for food delivery firm Just Eat to around £5.1bn. It has brought in a host of banks to finance the bridge facility, but the boss of opposing bidder called Prosus' bid “derisory”.

Prosus, the European consumer internet arm of South Africa’s Naspers, has increased its debt-backed hostile bid for online company Just Eat from 710p a share in cash to 740p a share. That raises the value of the bid by £200m.
