CFTC fines Tullett Prebon $13m for rates desk supervision

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has ordered Tullett Prebon Americas to pay a total of $13m in relation to alleged supervisory failures and making false or misleading statements.

Tullett must pay a total of $13m over allegations that it both failed to adequately supervise employees and made false or misleading statements to CFTC staff.

The bulk of the total, $11m, is a civil monetary penalty, relating to an order requiring the firm to cease and desist ...
