Uzbekistan fund chooses private funding over listing

The sellers of Oltin, a closed-ended fund seeking to invest in Uzbekistan, have decided to postpone a public listing and proceed with private fundraising after investors expressed a preference for an unlisted fund structure.

The decision to raise private capital, rather than taking the fund public, is likely to disappoint some, given the fund was seeking to be the first the first internationally listed security giving investors exposure to Uzbekistan.
