Cobepa mandates two for Scalian as underwriters start deal hunt

Belgian private equity firm Cobepa is funding its acquisition of Scalian, the engineering consultancy, with two French investment banks.

Natixis and Société Générale are bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers of €140m of financing facilities to support the operation. Cobepa is adding “a strong equity cushion” to the deal, according to one of the leads, which declined to disclose more details.
