Huarong AMC braves volatility for long-awaited return

China Huarong Asset Management Co focused on getting a sensible price rather than a large size with its Tuesday bond issue, raising $1.1bn from three tranches. The deal followed a probe of its former chairman earlier this year, as well as a general widening of bonds from the sector.

Huarong started bookbuilding for its three and five year floating rate notes at the areas of 145bp and 160bp over three month Libor, respectively, on Tuesday morning Asia time. A tap of its $700m 4.75% 2027 bond was also announced at the area of 265bp over US ...
