Carbon pricing growing fast but firms need to use prices better

More and more companies are recognising the principle that the atmosphere’s ability to absorb greenhouse gases from combustion cannot remain a free resource forever.

With or without government prompting, carbon pricing is becoming the norm. About 600 companies now use an internal carbon price and another 700 plan to start doing so by 2019, according to a report this morning (Thursday October 12) by CDP, the carbon reporting organisation.
