BME Clearing expands into Latin America with a Colombian deal

BME Clearing, the clearing division of Spanish exchange business Bolsa y Mercados Españoles, has reached an agreement for its technology to be used in the Colombian interest rate swap market.

The software licensing agreement with a Colombian central counterparty, Cámara de Riesgo Central de Contraparte de Colombia (CRCC) means it will use BME Clearing's technology in the clearing and settlement of interest rate swaps in the Colombian market from the end of 2017.
